Gospel Award 2006
After last years' great success, the Evangelical Church, the Catholic Church and the Christian relief organization WORLD VISION will again give Gospel singers the chance to break into the big time. Our media partners RTL Television and Bibel TV will also accompany us again this year.
The six best applicants will take part in the big final show on 16 December in Munich. In the International Congress Center they will compete for the "Gospel Award" with each other in front of the audience and the judges. The winner will receive the trophy as well as 5.000 Euros prize money.
This year's celebrity judges include Heinz Rudolf Kunze, Thomas M. Stein, the German 'gospel voice' Inga Rumpf, Deborah Woodson (vocal coach of German 'Pop Idol'), Radio FFH-editor Klaus Depta and Church-Music-Director Matthias Nagel (Protestant Church of Westphalia).
With this event "Initiative Gospel" wants to boost public interest in Gospel music and provide a forum for known and unknown interpreters and choirs across all (religious) denominations.
